This term
allows you to set a range of times, during which the condition
is met. This is useful when creating a condition for a 24-hour period
(where the period may span two days).

Create Term
To add a Time Range term to
a condition, see Create
a Term.

Enter Time Range
Time Style
Select the
Time Range term
in Conditions view, and, in Properties,
set the time style in both the From
and To sections:
Click in the Time
Style field and click
.
From the drop-down menu, select
either 'Clock Time' (for 24-hour clock time), 'Dawn Time' or 'Dusk
Time' (to set the condition to be met relative to the pre-determined
dusk
or dawn times).

Tips:
If
you select a dusk or dawn time, you can set the condition
to be met at an interval before or after the dusk or dawn
time, by clicking in the Offset
field and entering the time (in minutes).
To
configure the offset to be before the dusk or dawn time, type
minus (-) and then the number of minutes.

Time
To set the time at which the condition starts and ends:
In the From
section, enter the time at which the range will begin. This
can be an exact time, or a time relative to dawn or dusk.

In the To
section, enter the time at which the range will end. This
can be an exact time, or a time relative to dawn or dusk.
Tips:
The times you specify are
always in chronological order. This means that the time in
the To section is
always after the time in the From
section. For example, if you set a time range From
10 minutes before dawn To
30 minutes before dawn then the time range will be from 10
minutes before dawn on the current day, to 30 minutes before
dawn on the following day. This allows you to set a time range
that includes midnight, so you can create a trigger for overnight
routing entries.
When specifying times relative
to dawn or dusk, remember that these times are dependent on
the longitude and
latitude settings within Designer and may not be suitable
for use on a ship, due to the ship’s movements. For more information, see Longitude
and Latitude, Dates
and Times and Daylight
Saving Time.
Today's official dawn and
dusk times are shown in the Today
field. These are calculated using latitude
, longitude and date.
