Create a Condition or Term |
|||
Note: |
To open the Conditions View, click or select View > Conditions.
Right-click on in the Conditions tree, and then select Insert.
A list of Boolean condition types appears.
Click to select a condition logic type.
This adds a condition to the Conditions tree.
Note:
|
A term is a statement about a time, date or event that,
at any given time, may be TRUE or FALSE.
For example, a term may specify a day of the week, such as Monday. On Monday,
this statement is TRUE, but on all other days it is FALSE.
Links, Redirects, Scheduled Routing Entries and Enablements can be made
conditional on the basis that a given term statement within the Condition
is TRUE or FALSE. How you proceed depends on the type of term you choose.
In the Conditions tree, right-click on the condition to which you want to add the term.
A drop-down menu appears, listing the available terms.
For information about how configure a term, click on that term on the image.
Select the desired term.
The term appears in the Conditions tree.
In the Condition section of the Properties View, the Invert field is set to False by default. This means that the state of the term is not inverted, so the condition definition is TRUE.
Note:
|
Inverting the logical state of a term can be convenient for some things but essential for other things.
Tip:
|
To reverse the logical state of a term, do the following:
Click on the term in the Conditions tree.
In Properties, click in the Invert field in the Condition section.
