440 – Input Unit

The DIGIDIM Helvar’s range of products based on the DALI standard. The DIGIDIM range is composed of a series of controllers and lamp interface units that are designed to communicate using DALI commands. Input Unit is a DALI Stands for Digital Addressable Lighting Interface. Standardised digital protocol for lighting control, allowing communication between control devices and LIUs (control gear).-compatible interface designed to allow customer-specified switches, sensors, time clocks or other on/off control devices to be incorporated into a DIGIDIM lighting control system. It has eight volt-free inputs that may be either momentary or latching, permitting the selection of DALI commands. A status LED gives visual indication of units current operational mode: normal operation, initialisation, physical selection or input activation.

The unit offers out-of-box operation and can be used with momentary or latching switches. The screen (SC) connection on this unit must be connected to earth to ensure correct operation.

No more than 50 m of cable should be used between the actuating switch and the input to the unit.
