Slider Configuration
   

 

Configure Subdevice

  1. Click to expand the Slider (110) or Dual Slider (111) in the Devices view.

  2. Click on the slider subdevice.

  3. If the Properties view for the slider is not already open, select View > Properties, or press F4.

 

Name

It may be useful to name the slider:

  1. In the Common section, enter a name in the Name field.

  2. Click .

    The slider is renamed in the Devices view.

 

Assign Condition to Slider

If you want the slider to perform the set of functions according to a certain condition, and if the condition is not met then to use an alternative set of functions (see Conditions):

  1. Under Keys, from the Use Main Set drop-down list, select the required condition. The condition is set to Always by default.

  2. Click .

 

Assign Slider to Group

Do the following to assign the slider to a group.

  1. In the Main Set section, click in the Group field.

  2. Enter the group to which you want the slider to be assigned.
  3. Note:

    • 0 = Ungrouped.

  4. Click .

 

Function

Under Slider, do the following to set the function that you want the slider to perform:

  1. Do one of the following:

      1. From the Function drop-down list, select Direct Level or Direct Proportion as required.

      1. From the Target Channels In drop-down list, set the channels that the slider will affect.

      1. If you selected Scene in Step b, enter the desired scene number in the Target Channels In drop-down combo box. This is the scene wherein the target channels will be affected.

      2. From the Slider Operation drop-down list, do one of the following:

        • To make the slider bring the affected channels to the off state, select Slide to off.

        • To make the slider bring the affected channels to 1 %, select Slide to Minimum.

      1. From the Function drop-down list, select Colour Temperature.

      2. In the Top Colour Temperature text box, type the coolest, i.e. highest, colour temperature, in kelvins, that the slider must be able to set.

      3. In the Bottom Colour Temperature text box, type the warmest, i.e. lowest, temperature, in kelvins, that the slider must be able to set.

    Note:

    • The Hue function makes colours more pastel, soothing and muted, i.e. more going towards the white.

    Note:

    • The Saturation function makes colours more vibrant and vivid.

  1. To make the slider perform the function according to a certain condition, select it from the Condition drop-down list.

    The out-of-box options in the Condition drop-down list are Always and Never. For information about how to create more conditions so that they are available from this list, see Conditions.

 

The slider is now configured and ready for use in the lighting system.
