Emergency Lighting

Notes:

  • You must be Online to start or stop Emergency Tests, or perform any other Emergency Test function.

Tips:

DALI emergency lighting is in place in case of a mains power failure to your lighting system. The DALI emergency lighting ballast is fitted with a battery that is kept charged by the mains supply.

There are two types of emergency lighting: maintained and non-maintained.

There are two types of emergency ballast: switchable and dimmable.

Note:

  • DALI LED units may be connected to the DALI emergency ballasts and they can be integrated into the fitting or separate from the ballast. These contain status LEDs that indicate the status of the ballast, e.g. lamp failure, charging, Emergency Function Test, Emergency Duration Test, battery failure, normal operation (not in test), etc. For definitions of the LED states of the emergency ballast, see the manufacturer’s operating instructions.
