Device Palette

Use the Device Palette to insert control gear and control devices into a router or subnet.

The Device Palette displays items that can be inserted into the router or subnet that is selected in the Devices View.

For example, if you select a workgroup in the Devices view, the Device Palette displays the list of routers that you can insert into the workgroup. If you select the DMX subnet of a 920 router, the only device in the Device Palette is 'DMX Device'.

Access the Device Palette view

When a colour device is selected (in the Devices view, the Groups view, or the Scene Table, for example), access the Colour View using:

Main drop-down menus:	View > Device Palette
Main toolbar:
Window tabs:	The Device Palette tab may be available.

Insert devices into a router or subnet

1. If required, do one of the following to select Editor Mode:

   • From the File menu, select Editor.

   • On the main toolbar, click the Editor button.

2. Drag a device from the Device Palette into a router or subnet in the Devices view.
