Fade Times
   

A fade time is the time taken to make the transition between one light level and another. As a scene may contain several levels, the fade time also determines the time taken to make the transition from one scene to another.

Set a Fade Time

Note:

  • You must be in Editor mode to set a fade time.

  • All DALI devices before or at version 4.1 have a maximum fade time of 90 seconds, no matter what is configured in Designer.

 

Fade times are displayed and set in the Fade Time field of the Properties View of a subdevice .

  1. Click on the subdevice whose fade time you want to change. For information about how to configure a subdevice, see Subdevice Configuration.

  2. If the Properties view is not visible, click View > Properties, or press F4.

  3. Click in the Fade Time field to edit it.

  4. Type in a new fade time, in the format hh:mm:ss.th (hours:minutes:seconds:tenths and hundredths of seconds).

  5. Press to save the change, or press to discard the change.
